Share

Lieutenant Egzon Elshani of the Kosovo Security Force (FSK) has accomplished a remarkable feat by successfully completing the grueling Ranger training conducted by the US Army. The Ranger School, renowned as the military’s toughest course, serves as the cornerstone for leadership and tactical education for small units. The Ranger course is an intensely demanding mental and physical preparation, focusing on functional skills directly relevant to units engaged in close combat and direct battle scenarios.

Over a period of 62 days, participants in the Ranger training are pushed to their limits, both mentally and physically, as they strive to excel. The course comprises three phases (Darby, Mountain, and Swamp), following a rigorous crawl, walk, run training methodology. During the Darby phase, students focus on squad operations, mastering ambush missions, patrol base operations, and meticulous planning before progressing to platoon operations. Subsequently, in the mountain phase, they further hone their skills at the platoon level, culminating in the swamp phase. Post-training, Ranger participants are adept at leading squad and platoon combat operations across diverse climates and terrains.

The United States of America’s unwavering support for the FSK in enhancing its professional military capabilities across all domains underscores a commitment to global peace and security. The FSK stands as a steadfast partner, ready to leverage its capabilities for the collective good of international security.
