The Albanian Flag Raising Ceremony was also held in Philadelphia yesterday in honor of the Albania’s 110th Independence Day.
This was shared on Facebook by the Albanian-American reporter, Katie Katro, who also received a gift for the work she’s been doing for the community.
“Today we celebrated Albania’s 110th Independence Day, by raising the Albanian flag in Philadelphia. I was humbled to receive an award for the work I have been able to do in the Albanian community, and address the crowd about how the flag unites us. Thank you, “Bijte e Shqipes” for honoring me today. I’m proud to be an Albanian American!” – wrote Katro on Facebook.
