General Wesley K. Clark will be welcomed to Staten Island, New York on Sunday. The American general who led the NATO bombing in Kosovo is expected to meet the Albanians living in America.
A call has been made on social media for Albanians to mobilize to meet and greet Clark.
But what was the commitment of Wesley K. Clark in Kosovo?
Wesley Clark was the Supreme Allied Commander Europe for NATO when the Kosovo crisis occurred, and he is regularly questioned about the rationale and consequences of the attack.
Asked about his commitment years later, he said that he feels proud of the intervention in Kosovo and expressed his conviction that NATO had done the right thing.
Clark has also written a book about his experience in Kosovo.
