One of the co-chairs of the Albanian Affairs Group in the US Congress, legislator Ritchie Torres, says that the international community seems to send a clear message to Iran that it will not be tolerated for any cyber attack it undertakes against a sovereign country.
The lawmaker from New York is the initiator of a draft resolution submitted a few days ago to the House of Representatives, which condemns Tehran’s cyber attacks against Albania and calls for the strengthening of cyber defense of this country.
During an interview for the Voice of America, Mr. Torres adds that he expects bilateral support for Albania, which, as he says, is one of the biggest allies of the United States.
The American lawmaker also talks about the future of a Kosovo-Serbia agreement. He says that Washington should not act as if they are a neutral mediator, in the conditions where Kosovo is an ally of the United States, while Serbia is an ally of Russia.
Therefore, for Mr. Torres, the real challenge for concluding the dialogue between the two countries remains the proximity of Belgrade to Moscow.
