The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today visited two barracks of the Kosovo Security Force, “Adem Jashari” in Pristina and “Young Europeans” in Pomazati.
During the visit he was accompanied by the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj and the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati.
In the “Ademi Jashari” barracks, he was received by the Deputy Commander of the KSF, Major General Enver Cikaqi, the Inspector General of the KSF, Major General Irfete Spahiu and Brigadier General Naim Haziri.
Addressing the soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers of the KSF, Prime Minister Kurti said that our people expect from them to maintain high morale and the desire to serve the country.
“The people outside these barracks fences see in you the brave, the wise and the brave who are ready and prepared to protect them and our country from any danger and threat”, Prime Minister Kurti said in his speech.
Meanwhile, in the “Young Europeans” barracks, in addition to the Deputy Commander of the KSF, Major General Enver Cikaqi, Prime Minister Kurti was also received by the KSF Colonel, Shaip Haziri.
In front of the soldiers present, Prime Minister Kurti said that the Kosovo Security Force continues to develop, modernize and interact with its partners.
“The KSF last year landed in the Middle East for its first peacekeeping mission alongside our allies, and this year it is preparing to land its units in Poland and the Falkland Islands for peace support operations. The participation of the KSF in these international operations shows the best of your work and dedication, of your professionalism and will, of your high morale and your ardent desire to serve the country”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
During the visit to the “Young Europeans” barracks, he said, among other things, that we are young Europeans because we are a new country in Europe, but we are the ancient people of Europe who consider the European Union a value and a goal.
“Our history is glorious, we will have a bright future”, concluded his speech, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
