Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic said his statement on the 27th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide was “unclear” and apologized to the families of the victims.
“I apologize to the mothers of Srebrenica for the vaguely expressed opinion. It is known that every work depends on its purpose. My goal is peace. The genocide committed against Bosniaks in Srebrenica should not be repeated against anyone,” he wrote in Telegram.
This apology comes after the families of the victims of the genocide, associations and representatives of political parties in Montenegro, said that Abazovic relativized the genocide in Srebrenica.
Genocide was not committed against Bosniaks, but against people, and it was not committed by armies, but by politicians, the politics of evil, the politics of death and the politics of deception,” said Abazovic, commemorating the 27th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica.
